Hat Trick Labs builds custom software and open-source developer tools.

The libraries showcased here were born from real-world software projects. When the same problem recurs, we build a tool for it. When that tool proves useful, we open-source it.

Our philosophy is straightforward: keep things simple and avoid unnecessary complexity. We favor clear APIs, minimal dependencies, and software that developers can understand without wading through layers of abstraction. We do not chase trends or let design patterns dictate the solution—just practical tools that solve real problems.

This is a small selection of the tools we have built. Additional projects will be published as they are documented and prepared for release.

About Me

I have been building software professionally for more than 20 years. Over that time, I have worked across a wide range of technologies and industries, building everything from greenfield applications to large-scale production systems. While the tools and platforms have evolved, the fundamentals have remained the same: understand the business problem and build software that is efficient, reliable, and valuable.

Through Hat Trick Labs, I provide consulting and custom software development while sharing the tools and libraries that emerge from that work.
